Hey Poke-buddies, the Pokémon Go Fest 2024 event is fast approaching and there are a lot of things we have to talk about.

Niantic has unveiled the start date in addition to all of the content Pokemon Go players can earn. Ahead of the event, there are a few things you need to know about this coming event as it will affect your gameplay.

In this article, we’ll guide you on everything that you need to know about this coming event and how you can benefit from it fully.

Pokemon Go Fest 2024 Dates

The worldwide Pokemon Go Fest 2024 event will take place from July 13-14, 2024. The event allows players from across the world to participate in exclusive events in a bid to get their hands on exclusive rewards and higher chances to catch some of the rarer Pokemon on offer.

During the Pokemon Go Fest, several Pokemon will be available to catch with some having higher chances of catching their shiny variant. Here's the full list of confirmed Pokemon for the Pokemon Go Fest 2024 event:

Pokemon Go Fest 2024 Bonuses

For bonuses, attendees of this event will notice that there will be two sets of bonuses. The first set will be for regular attendees and the next will be for ticket holders. So whichever attendee you are, there will be a ton of bonuses for you to benefit from.

Here are the bonuses available for all attendees:

• The Lure Modules that starts during the event will last for one hour instead of 30 minutes.
• Each habitat hour will feature different field research that players can complete to receive items, rewards, and Pokemon encounters.
• By taking a Snapshot of Pokemon during the event attendees may yield some surprise Pokemon encounters.

Pokémon Go Fest 2024 Research Tasks

For the research tasks, we’ll focus more on the tasks that will be available for the global events. There'll be three Pokémon to pick from to complete the special tasks, and they are Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup.

Whichever option you pick, you’ll kick off your aim to complete the given tasks and each Pokémon has different rewards. This research task will be divided into four parts, which can be completed using any Pokémon the above.

Here are the Step One Special Research Tasks for the Pokémon GO Fest 2024:

• Catch 15 Pokémon originally discovered in the Sinnoh region.
• Use an Incense.
• Complete all tasks in this step.

Here are the Step Two Special Research Tasks for the Pokémon GO Fest 2024 (can be completed in either diamond or pearl versions):

• Catch a Legendary Pokémon.
• Power up Dragon-type Pokémon 20 times.
• Complete all tasks in this step.

Here are the Step Three Special Research Tasks for the Pokémon GO Fest 2024 (can be completed in either diamond or pearl versions):

• Evolve 3 Pokémon.
• Activate Roar of Time's Adventure Effect for the diamond version and Activate Rend’s of Time's Adventure Effect.
• Complete all tasks in this step.

Here are the Step Four Special Research Tasks for the Pokémon GO Fest 2024 (can be completed in either diamond or pearl versions):

• Purify one Shadow Pokémon.
• Purify two Shadow Pokémon.
• Purify three Shadow Pokémon.
• Complete all tasks in this step.

Aside from the Special Research Tasks, Poke-buddies can also engage in Field and Timed Research tasks during the Pokémon Go Fest event. Here are all the Field and Timed Research tasks that you can take part in during the Global Pokémon Go event:

• Win 3 Raids.
• Power up a normal or water-type Pokémon 5 times.
• Power up a grass or ghost-type Pokémon 5 times.
• Power up a poison or rock-type Pokémon 5 times.
• Power up a fire or ice-type Pokémon 5 times.

Timed Research Tasks:

• Complete 3-Party Challenges.
• Take a snapshot of Uxie in the wild.
• Take a snapshot of Azelf in the wild.
• Take a snapshot of Mesprit in the wild.
• Catch 30 Pokémon originally discovered in the Sinnoh region.

How to buy Pokémon Go Fest 2024 tickets

To purchase the Pokémon Go Fest 2024 event tickets, you’ll need to head over to the in-game shops. For the global event, those wanting to buy tickets will pay $14.99. If you don’t want to purchase via in-game shops, then you can purchase via the Pokémon Go website and pay the same price but get merch.

Either way, you want to purchase, you’ll need to find the “Go Fest 2024 Ticket section” in the in-game store or web store. You’ll need to click the buy button, follow the on-screen directions, and complete your ticket purchase.
