Halo Infinite: How To Unmute Myself


Halo Infinite's multiplayer has arrived and comes with a host of party and chat functions. But many have run into trouble with their headsets, while some remain muted indefinitely.

If your headset isn't projecting your audio, here are a few fixes you can make to get you talking with your team again.

Halo Infinite: How To Unmute Myself

There are several solutions you can undertake.

Change Audio Settings

Your mic may not be on the correct preference to project inputted audio. To do this:

  1. Go to 'Settings'.
  2. Select 'Audio'.
  3. Find 'Voice Chat Mode'.
  4. Set the option to 'Open Mic'.

This should change allow you to speak to your squad in-game, not just through parties.

Hard Restart Your Xbox

If you're playing on Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One, try and restart the Xbox directly from the button. Hold down your Xbox power button for several seconds until it switches off. Wait at least a minute before booting it up again.

Change Headsets For Comparison

Connect an alternate headset or earbuds to your system and see if this issue continues. If you are unmuted while using the new connected device, there could be a fault with your original headset.
